Handicaps can be be used in competitions and singles leagues to apply a “start” to players based upon ability, whicb is entered in the Entries screen.
There is a drop down box that allows you to choose your handicap method.
- Net Start will calculate the difference between the two handicaps and apply a start based upon the difference
- Start on Handicaps will set the starting score for each pler to be their assigned handicap
- Net Start Except When Negative will follow the same logic for Net Start unless one of the entries has a negative handicap, in which scenario it will Start on Handicaps.
- Stoodlarke Handicap Algorithm will try and balance the handicaps so that someone starts on 0, unless there is a positive and a negative handicap playing each other
- If handicaps are the same, start on scratch
- If a negative handicap plays a positive handicap, start on handicaps
- If both handicaps are positive, advantaged player starts on difference
- If the net handicap is a negative number, start the advantaged player with 0
