We had a feature request recently which we thought would be a good addition, particularly for smaller leagues with a wide range of abilities but keep the league competitive. So we’ve added the ability to assign handicaps to teams.
You can assign handicaps to teams via League Management > Teams.
Some information about the handicap system
- Applies to team league and competition matches
- Applied to the score at the point the scorecard is opened
- Supports positive handicaps only (So your very best teams should be 0/scratch).
- Updating handicaps midseason will apply the handicap to matches that are not already completed
- In play and future matches will use the new handicap, exisign commited results will be unchanged
- Handicap affects scores for points to be won across all points systems. Frames for and against are not accrued for handicap adjustments
